- 10% vacancies are earmarked for Ex-servicemen (ESM).
- If suitable ESM candidates are not available, vacancies reserved for ESM will be filled by non-ESM candidates of respective categories.

Essential Educational Qualifications
- The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
- NCC A, B and C Certificate holders (excluding Ex-Servicemen) will be granted intentive @ 5%, 3% and 2% of maximum marks of the exam for A, B and C certificate holders respectively.

Applications must be submitted at the official website of the Commission i.e. https://ssc.nic.in in online mode only. While submitting the online Application Form, candidates are required to upload the scanned colour passport size photograph. Format: JPEG Size:20 KB to 50 KB. The last date and time for submission of online applications are 31-08-2021 (23:30).

- For cash payment through Challan of SBI, candidates may make the payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 07.09.2021 provided the Challan has been generated by them before 04.09.2021 (23:30 hours).
- Fee once paid shall not be refunded nor will it be adjusted against any other examination or selection.

Scheme of Exam for SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2021
The competitive examination for the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2021 comprises the following successive stages:
- Computer-Based Examination
- The questions in the Computer Based Examination will be of Matriculation level.
- This test will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks, with the composition given below
- Duration of test: 90 Minutes.
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Syllabus of SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2021
The syllabus for the Examination will be as follows:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning:
- Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type.
- This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
- General Knowledge and General Awareness:
- Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him.
- Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person.
- The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
- Elementary Mathematics:
- This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
- English/ Hindi:
- Candidates’ ability to understand basic English/ Hindi and his basic comprehension would be tested.
