UGC NET Application 2021: Application Form has been released by the University Grants Commission. The UGC NET for the December 2020 cycle will be held in the month of May 2021. The dates fixed for the exam are 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th & 17th May 2021.
UGC NET is a national level test organized by NTA to determine the eligibility for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) & Assistant Professor and for Assistant Professors. Candidates who qualify in the test are considered for recruitment as Assistant Professor or JRF in Indian Universities and Colleges. How to Apply Online – UGC NET Application 2021
The following are the steps to Apply Online for the UGC NET Application May 2021:
Step-1: The candidate should register for Online Registration using his/her own Email ID and Mobile No. On successful registration, an Application Number will be generated. Candidates should note down the system generated Application Number. For subsequent logins, the candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system generated Application Number and created Password.
Step-2: Complete the Online Application Form by login with the system generated Application Number and created Password.
Step-3: Upload legible scanned images of:
- A recent photograph (in jpg/ jpeg file, size 10Kb – 200Kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background;
- Candidate’s signature (file size: 4kb – 30kb);
Step-4: Pay the fee using the Payment Gateway(s)/Payment Modes of concerned Banks/Paytm integrated to the Online Application and keep proof of fee paid.
Note: The candidate should upload the correct Photograph and Signature as there will be no facility for correction of the same.
Pattern of Exam UGC NET 2021
The Examination will be conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) only. Two papers of objective type multiple choice questions are to be attempted by the candidates in a single sitting. All the questions in the exam are compulsory. The duration of the exam is 3 Hours (180 minutes). Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only.

- Each question carries 02 (two) marks.
- For each correct response, candidate will get 02 (two) marks.
- There is no negative marking for incorrect response.

- To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct option.
